The business was founded by bespoke tailor Lajb Ryz. Since the beginning, our goal has always been to create men’s clothing that looks sophisticated, fits perfectly, is made from the world’s best fabric mills resulting in an exceptional and unique product.
Siegbert Ryz, referred to by clients and family as “Ziggy”, joined his father in the business. Ziggy was an accountant by profession and learned the skills of bespoke tailoring from his father. He also attended a city and guilds diploma course covering technical drawing and bespoke tailoring with famous tailors such as Robert Gieves of Gieves and Hawkes.
The business increased its profile further when Ziggy’s son Jonathan joined the business in 1994. Jonathan worked for Simpsons of Piccadilly, a speciality menswear and department store, holding three royal warrants, famous in its day for personal service and a vast selection of high quality clothing. He also gained further experience working for many premium Italian fashion boutiques situated on London’s Bond Street and Sloane Street.
Demain est.1953 is somewhat of a rare commodity in today’s era. Being one of the last independent menswear shops left in Berkshire, we continue to provide a personal service built on the principles of classic tailoring from Italy. All aspects of the business are overseen by the owner resulting in a one on one customer relationship unique to our business.
